Epidemiology

I am currently a doctoral candidate at the Harvard School of Public Health. My research is primarily focused on investigating circadian disruption as a risk factor for prostate cancer, and particularly lethal cancer, as well as to explore mechanisms underlying the association. Most of my work involves data from a cohort study in Iceland (AGES-Reykjavik), utilizing urinary biomarker, genetic variant and questionnaire data. I am also involved in projects surrounding the role of inflammation in prostate carcinogenesis and have experience analyzing questionnaire and biomarker data from two large cohort studies – the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS) and The Physicians’ Health Study.
