Her research is focused primarily on investigating circadian disruption as a risk factor for prostate cancer, particularly lethal cancer, as well as explores mechanisms underlying the association. Most of her work involves data from a cohort study in Iceland (AGES-Reykjavik), utilizing urinary biomarker, genetic variant and questionnaire data. She is also involved in projects surrounding the role of inflammation in prostate carcinogenesis and has experience analyzing questionnaire and biomarker data from two large cohort studies – the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS) and The Physicians’ Health Study.
