Michelangelo Fiorentino is board-certified pathologist currently responsible for the Laboratory of Oncologic Molecular Pathology Laboratory at the S.Orsola-Malpighi teaching Hospital in Bologna, Italy. He is also adjunct assistant professor at the Dept. of Epidemiology of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston.

Dr. Fiorentino completed his post-doctoral training at the Harvard Medical School and worked as senior staff pathologist at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He has been conducting interdisciplinary research on solid tumors with particular interest in prostate cancer. He contributed to several patho-epidemiological studies aimed at identifying the molecular, epidemiological and metabolic bases of prostate cancer.

Within the TopCaP group he has been actively involved in the histopathological review of U.S. and Swedish prostate cancer series and he is part of several research projects on prostate cancer.
