I am currently pursuing my PhD in the area of prostate cancer research in Trinity College Dublin. Specifically my project concerns identifying miRNA and mRNA signatures, which may aid in the differentiation of putatively indolent from aggressive cases of prostate cancer. I am also looking at identifying and studying the prostate cancer stem cell population through the derivation of prostate holoclones from immortalised prostate cancer cell lines. I completed both my undergraduate degree in Human Genetics and my Masters in Molecular Medicine in Trinity College Dublin.
