Epidemiology

Barbra Dickerman is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. She obtained her MSc in Epidemiology from HSPH in 2016. She is currently working under the mentorship of Dr. Lorelei Mucci to investigate the influence of obesity and physical activity on the progression of prostate cancer. She is interested in exploring underlying mechanisms using biomarker data. She is also interested in the application of contemporary causal inference methods to identify optimal treatment strategies among men with prostate cancer. Much of her work is based on the Health Professionals Follow-up Study and AGES-Reykjavik Study cohorts.
