Dr. Bondi graduated in Medicine in 1977 at the University of Bologna, Italy, then he obtained a specialist degree in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology at the University of Parma, Italy, and a specialist degree in Oncology at the University of Modena, Italy. He frequented a tutorial in Immunohistochemistry at the Royal Postgraduate School at Hammersmith Hospital of London (UK) and a tutorial in Surgical Pathology at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York (USA).
Dr. Bondi is a consultant in Surgical Pathology and currently is the Director of the Surgical Pathology Dept. at the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna, Italy. His fields of interest cover Cytodiagnostics and cancer prevention screenings in cervical, breast and colon-rectal pathology.
Dr. Bondi is an expert in Medical Informatics applied to Pathology, he taught Medical informatics at the school for specialists in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Bologna. He is on the board of the Italian Society of Anatomic Pathology, Histopathology and Cytology and the Italian Branch of the International Academy of Pathology (SIAPEC-IAP). He is also the editor of the Italian Translation of the Microglossary for Surgical Pathology of SNOMED International and he is responsible for the website of the European Federation of Cytology Societies: www.efcs.eu.
